안녕했어요?~

Good afternoon. I'm back. My fault for being silent. Lets jump into the major events of the past couple weeks.

Exchange Week

This week I had the fun opportunity to participate in 2 exchanges which marks 31 exchanges I've participated in during my mission. Absolutely insane but pretty sweet. This week the APs came to Jecheon and I got to exchange with an awesome Elder named Elder Richeson. I've actually served with him on an exchange before he was an AP during our first couple transfers a year ago. So it was really fun to touch base again.

I learned a lot from that exchange in specific I learned a lot about Pride and Empathy. We worked really hard and we saw some really great miracles.

Transfers

Transfers happened 2 weeks ago and it constantly surprises me how fast time moves. For the news I am no longer going to be serving in Jecheon and I moved to...

Humphery's Military Base! With Elder Ko Yegeon! My second ever Korean companion!

I was sad to leave Jecheon and all the friends I made. Especially our returning member Eugene from the Philippines. Who single handedly carried our member lessons during thoes months I was in Jecheon.

All good things come to an end but that doesn't mean it can't get better. And Holy crap it's gotten better. Ill just say it now. This area is Zion. Like it's not even funny. Most of the people I interact with are American's who are serving on the Military Base and do many of them are so Elect. While I have been finding, I had forgotten the joys of meeting someone who is interested in our church and wants to learn more. In Korean areas it's incredibly rare to find someone who wants to come to church let alone talk to you about church. But here in Humphery's, people need a place to worship and a lot of people see the joys of Jesus Christ's church.

For proof, this year humphery's holds the highest amount of baptisms and currently Elder Ko and I have to work with 5 different new members and continually nourish them to keep coming to church. So far they all still have a strong testimony to keep coming. It's the most amount of new member I have done thus far.

This is by far the most unique transfer I think I will face and I am more than excited to tackle it. In two weeksalone I have seen some awesome miracles while talking to people on the street. It's been amazing.

One of the best parts of this transfer I think will be my new awesome companion. He is from Jeju Island in Korea and is so cool. He clearly served with a lot of Americans as his English mostly consists of out of pocket slang. Hes the Goat. I love this guy. What's been great is I won't be speaking as much Korean to people on the street but I will be able to speak as much as I can with Elder Ko. So we've been doing some language exchanges where he speaks English and I speak Korean. So it's been a good balance. Also if your curious he is an old missionary and next transfer is his last transfer. So the hope is we serve one more together. But who knows.

Conclusion

Again sorry for going silent for so long. Stuff just happens and I get distracted on P-day. But I love you all and Ill see y'all next week.

Love y'all!

-Elder Christensen
