Miracles (40 & 41 )

Alright,

How is it June? Did anyone else feel like May just kind of vanished in the blink of an eye? It shouldn't be going this fast. Anyway, I have some stuff I wanna talk about so I’ll get into it.

It happened.

Miracles.

I needed to see them in my last email. Well guess what? I saw them, I saw a lot of them.

To start I went on two exchanges in one week, and HOLY they were good. I was with Elder Lockheart for a day and then the next one I was with Elder Nielson. Elder Lockheart has been out for pretty much 2 years by this point and just has so much love for missionary work and Korea its just insane. Within 24 hours me and him (mostly him) found and taught over 5 people. which is really good considering our average for a week is like 1 or 2. When we were walking around it was like everyone we ran into just decided to be the most elect person I've ever met. We met one dude on the college campus who not even 5 minutes after exchanging phone numbers he texted us back and wanted to meet again. We had so many new people to contact that the next day after the exchange me and Elder Curtis spent an hour contacting everyone we had met. All around G.O.A.Ted exchange. The one I did with Elder Nielson was alright. He’s our ZL and they had Elder Curtis and I go to Daejeon to work on their area rather than help us with ours. Which is fine I guess. But we did have 8 Elders sleep in one apartment for the night which was crazy.

The other crazy miracle that happened was on Sunday. The members for some reason were on their A game and were asking us a bunch of questions about missionary work and offering help if we needed it. Which was not usual, usually they just chat about when we are going to eat with them haha. But the crazy part was when a member called us and told us about a part member family who neither me nor Elder Curtis had met. Their youngest daughter who is 9 years old wants to take the lessons and get baptized and the inactive parents want to participate as well. Absolutely insane miracle and just another reason as to why inactive member work is just so good. Obviously the main goal is to get their daughter baptized but also to get her parents coming back to church. I think if we do things right we could see them coming back which would be so awesome.

So, whoever of y'all was praying for miracles keep it up cause things are just getting started.

Closing Remarks

This time I wrote "Closing Remarks" instead of conclusion ya'like that?

I essentially want to acknowledge the fact that miracles do indeed happen and that if you ask for them it’s now your job to find them. I think we often think and say that God sends miracles according to his will, which I believe to be true, but we spend very little time actually looking for those miracles. I remember praying 2 weeks ago and asking God "Please help us achieve this baptism goal we have set this month." My mind immediately went to our Fillipino friend who we have been trying to put on baptismal date for the past 2 transfers. Instead God set us this opportunity with this inactive member family. The beautiful thing about this, if it goes right, we will bring that whole family back to church and ultimately back to Christ. Which I think is the real miracle behind it all.

The Lord's hand can be found literally everywhere and I've started looking for miracles throughout the day. Whats also crazy is that it can be amplified through faith and prayer. I've literally seen it these past two weeks and I know it to be true. So, awesome that I get to have been given the chance to have this perspective.

With that said, I just want to thank each of you for the faith you've put on me.

So, don't leave us hangin' keep praying for us. Keep having faith in us for doing the Lord's work.
